Mike Kalsek brings over two decades of diverse financial leadership experience spanning banking, healthcare, and behavioral health. As the current Director of Finance at Buena Vista Recovery, he oversees financial operations supporting a full continuum of addiction treatment services, including medical detox, residential care, and outpatient programs. His work is driven by a passion for combining sound financial strategy with mission-driven care for individuals on the path to recovery.
Mike began his career in the financial sector, working as a bank teller in Indiana before transitioning into mortgage auditing and sales upon moving to Arizona in 2002. After a decade in banking, he shifted into healthcare finance, first in skilled nursing facilities and later moving into acute care settings. He has held leadership roles including Controller for a Dignity Health joint venture, overseeing a 16-bed hospital and 10 freestanding emergency rooms, and served as CFO across multiple business lines—ranging from surgical centers and anesthesia providers to real estate entities.
Mike also serves on the Board of Directors for Banner Federal Credit Union, where he brings his cross-industry experience and collaborative mindset to support organizational growth and member value.
His financial acumen, operational insight, and commitment to healthcare excellence continue to shape the strategic direction of the organizations he serves.
