Lucas began his career with Buena Vista Recovery as a Behavioral Health Technician, working directly with patients in early recovery. Eight years sober himself, he draws on his lived experiences to connect with others in meaningful, authentic, and impactful ways. His time working with Buena Vista’s patients inspired a deep commitment to building strong, ongoing recovery support systems, including expanding the organization’s Alumni Program.
Lucas is especially passionate about supporting underserved populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness and those re-entering society after incarceration. His work focuses on creating opportunities for connection, purpose, and service within the alumni community—helping to reduce relapse risk and promote lasting sobriety.
When he’s not supporting patients or coordinating alumni events, Lucas can be found riding his motorcycle along Arizona’s scenic roads or playing music with his band—a creative outlet that remains an important part of his own recovery journey.
