Intensive outpatient
Treatment that fits around a working life.

Detox, residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient care, all at Chandler.
The level of care
IOP is structured treatment you attend for a few hours at a time, several days a week, while living at home. It is one rung of a continuum that runs from medical detox through to outpatient care, all of it at Chandler.
Not sure which level you need? It is not a question to guess at. A short call sorts it out: (888) 362-5576.
Substances out of your body under nursing around the clock and physician oversight. You stay with us the whole time.

Worth knowing
Keeping a job is one of the main reasons IOP exists at all. Our schedules are built to flex around work, school and family, so treatment fits into the week rather than replacing it. Tell admissions what your week actually looks like and they will work the timing out with you on the call.
Often what somebody needs is not just the program but somewhere steady to live while they attend it. We do not run sober living ourselves, but placement help is part of this phase: we know the local landscape and our case managers line the two up together.
Usually some of it, but outpatient care is often contracted separately from inpatient, so a plan that covers a residential stay will not automatically cover IOP at the same rate. It is worth knowing before you start rather than after. We will run your benefits with you on the phone.
Stepping down into PHP or IOP is the standard next move, and it is also where momentum is easiest to lose, because nobody handed over the next appointment. Here that handover happens inside one building, with the case manager you already know setting it up before your discharge date.

Yes. IOP runs at our Chandler facility as part of a full continuum of care, alongside medical detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient treatment. Most people reach it as a step down from residential care, but it is also a reasonable starting point for somebody who is already stable and has somewhere settled to live.
Mainly where you sleep. In residential treatment you live here and the day is built around the program. In IOP you live at home, or in sober living, and come in for treatment for part of the day, several days a week. The clinical work is much the same — groups, individual therapy, relapse-prevention — at a dose that leaves room for the rest of your life.
It depends on where you are when you start and how things go once you do. The outpatient phase of our continuum typically runs 45 to 90 days, and longer where that is what somebody needs. Your case manager reviews it with you as you go rather than holding you to a number fixed on day one.
That is what this level of care is designed for. Schedules are built to flex around work, school and family responsibilities, and they grow with you as those things gradually come back in. Bring your actual week to the call and admissions will work the timing out with you.
Yes. Many people pair this phase with a sober living home for added structure, and sober living placement assistance is part of what our case managers do. We do not run the housing ourselves, so the help is in knowing the local landscape and lining it up alongside your program.
Then medical detox is the safer first step, and it is in the same building. Outpatient care assumes your body is already stable. Call and describe what the last few days have looked like — admissions will tell you honestly which level of care fits, and nothing about that conversation commits you to anything.
We answer at any hour of the day or night. There is nothing you have to decide on that first call, and nothing you need to have worked out before you make it.
