Scottsdale sits north of us across the Valley, and every route comes down to one of two freeways.

South Scottsdale and Old Town

The 101 south, or Scottsdale Road and Rural straight down. One of the shorter runs of anywhere we serve.

Central Scottsdale

The 101 to the 202 and across, or Hayden and Pima south depending on the traffic.

North Scottsdale

Longer, usually the 101 the whole way. Worth asking about a ride rather than assuming you have to solve it.

If you were searching for Scottsdale because it was the nearest option you knew about, Chandler is a straightforward run south on the 101 or the 202.

Where do people from Scottsdale go instead?+

To our Chandler facility, which offers medical detox and residential treatment in the same building and is open 24 hours a day. It is a normal Valley drive rather than a journey, and if getting there is the problem then transport within our local service area is something we can often arrange. Say so on the first call rather than deciding in advance that the distance rules you out.

How long does it take to get to Chandler from Scottsdale?+

It depends where in Scottsdale you start. From Old Town and south Scottsdale it is the 101 south or Scottsdale Road and Rural straight down; from north Scottsdale it is the 101 most of the way. We will not put a figure in minutes on it, because traffic on the 101 makes that unreliable, but it is a drive people make without much planning.

Will my family be able to visit?+

Yes, and being close enough for that is one of the better arguments for treating locally rather than travelling out of state. Visiting happens on a schedule so it does not cut across the therapeutic day, and your case manager will walk your family through how it works once you are admitted.

Does AHCCCS cover this if I live in Scottsdale?+
