Before you call
None of this is required. If you have your card in front of you the call is quicker, and if you do not, we will work with whatever you can tell us.
Not knowing your plan details is completely normal. Most people have never had a reason to read their policy closely, and working it out is our job rather than yours.
Whatever is printed on the front of the card — Banner University Family Care, Aetna, Cigna, and so on. This is the one thing genuinely worth finding.
Usually enough to look a policy up even when the card has gone missing.
It speeds things along. Not having it to hand slows nothing down much.
Being on a parent or partner’s plan is common and perfectly workable. Just say so.
What you get back
A benefits check is not a yes-or-no. It is a picture of what your policy will actually do.
01
The first and biggest question. We are in network with a range of commercial plans and with Access plans including Banner University Family Care, and we are adding contracts as they land.
02
Detox, residential, or both. Plans approve these separately, so knowing which one applies matters more than knowing a single yes or no.
03
Approvals come with a length attached — often around a month for residential, sometimes longer. You will know the shape of it before you arrive.
04
Deductibles and co-insurance vary enormously between policies. We tell you what we can see rather than leaving you to discover it later.
If your plan turns out to be one we are still working on, you will hear that plainly and we will help you find a program in Arizona that takes it. Either way, the call ends with you knowing where to go.

Straight answers
No. A benefits check is free and there is nothing owed either way — including if you decide against treatment afterwards, or choose somewhere else entirely.
Not at all. Checking coverage is an information-gathering step. Plenty of people do it while they are still deciding, and some do it months before they act on it.
Call anyway. Your name and date of birth will usually be enough to find the policy, and if it is not, we can talk through other ways to work it out.
Yes. Partners, parents and adult children do this regularly. Bring their name, date of birth and plan name if you have it, and we can run the same check.
We will say so directly rather than leaving you to find out later, and then help you find a program that does take it. Finding people the right place is a normal part of the job here.
Access covers detox and residential treatment, and Banner University Family Care is in network with us today. Other plan contracts are being reinstated since our Chandler facility reopened, so it is worth checking your specific plan with us.
Say so on the call. There are private-pay rates for both detox and residential, and we can talk through what that looks like as well as what other options might be open to you.
Yes. What you share stays with our admissions and clinical teams. Asking about coverage does not create a record anywhere that follows you around.
We answer at any hour of the day or night. There is nothing you have to decide on that first call, and nothing you need to have worked out before you make it.
