Banner University Family Care is an Access plan, which means it covers medically supervised detox and residential treatment — the same rooms, the same meals and the same clinical team as anyone else here.

You are not getting a lesser version of this. If anything, Medicaid authorizations for residential care tend to run longer than commercial ones, which means more time to do the work rather than less.

Eligibility moves around — plenty of people arrive having just been reinstated. If yours has lapsed or you are not sure where it stands, call anyway and we will check it with you.

Will Banner cover my transport to the facility?+

Access plans include a non-emergency medical transport benefit, though how easily it applies to a treatment admission varies. Raise it at the start of the call — between that benefit, a ride we arrange and family, most journeys get solved on the phone.

Will I pay anything?+

For a covered stay under an in-network Access plan, treatment is covered — there is no separate bill for the room, the meals or the therapy. If anything about your particular plan works differently we will tell you before you arrive.

What if I have Banner but you are full?+

We will tell you straight away rather than leaving you waiting, keep your file open so nothing has to be repeated, and call you when a bed comes free. If waiting is not realistic we will help you find somewhere with space now.
