What happens here

The levels of care we run in Chandler

Detox through outpatient, under one roof, so you do not have to move facilities halfway through. Around 90 to 120 days end to end, with the hours coming down as you steady.

Looking for something else? Call us anyway.

Chandler runs the continuum above, and there are a couple of things we help people reach rather than provide. If what you need is one of these, we will help you find it — placing people in the right program, including at other facilities, is something our admissions team does every day.

  • Medication-assisted treatment
  • Sober living and supportive housing

One call, and you will leave it knowing where to go — whether that is a bed here or a place somewhere else that fits you better.

"Buena Vista was great for me. Comfortable, good groups, great staff. If I need to return I know they are there. And I'd recommend this place to anyone in need of recovery from addiction. Lolo at the front is always warm and welcoming, the nurses are caring and always there to help! Can't forget the BHTs always asking what they can do to help in whatever way they can."

"I cannot express enough gratitude for the support I received from Buena Vista Recovery. Katy went above and beyond in helping me navigate my court case and making pre-trial calls, ensuring I felt supported and informed every step of the way. Her dedication was truly remarkable. Mr Bacon and the entire staff played a pivotal role in changing my life for the better. Their compassion, understanding, and commitment to my recovery made all the difference. I highly recommend Buena Vista Recovery to anyone seeking help and transformation. Thank you all for everything!"

"So incredibly grateful for everyone that has been there for me throughout my recovery journey. I really miss residential lol. Not only were the staff there absolutely phenomenal and amazingly informed, but most really enjoyed what they were doing. The kitchen and food was five star most days. On top of all that, I got to have my own room and bathroom, queen size bed, vaulted ceilings, and flat screen tv. But, I am extremely grateful for the monthly Alumni events that we have. It's one of the highlights of my month every single time. Thank you Buena Vista. If I could give more stars, I so would."

"I'm so grateful for this place 💯!!! I learned so much about myself and got some great tools and the help I need. I'm out of inpatient but I'm still going there for services. I have all the love for the faculty and that place in general. They are amazing. Anyone that has anything bad to say about Buena Vista was either there for the wrong reasons or weren't ready. Thank you guys all the way around"

"I just want to say thank you to Buena Vista and the staff that work there. These people care. I can personally tell the difference between someone who just comes in for a paycheck and someone who has unconditional love and concern for every individual that they work with. From detox to out patient the staff go above and beyond to get their patients needs met! A special thanks to my case manager Katy for believing in me when I didn't even believe in myself. She met with me every day she worked and set me up for success! I'm on the next chapter of my life not only clean but finally happy. Thank you Katy!! And thank you Buena Vista. I recommend anybody needing help to at least check in for detox. Much love to you all"

Getting here

Getting to our Chandler facility

From Phoenix

Chandler sits south-east of Phoenix in the East Valley, a straightforward run down the I-10 or the 101. Sky Harbor is the nearest airport.

From Mesa, Gilbert and Tempe

These are neighboring East Valley towns — Chandler is a local drive rather than a journey, which matters when someone is making the trip on the day they decide.

From Tucson and southern Arizona

Roughly a two-hour drive north on the I-10, and a route plenty of people make. Tell us where you are starting from and we will work the journey out on the call.

From out of state

Fly into Sky Harbor and ask us about being collected. Ask about airport pickup; local rides are not, so tell us your flight details when you call.

Questions about our Chandler facility

Where exactly is the Chandler facility?+

We are at 3033 S Arizona Avenue in Chandler, AZ 85286, on the east side of Arizona Avenue with a covered entrance and parking on site. The building is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year including holidays, and somebody is at the desk whatever time you arrive. If you are driving in from Phoenix it is a straight run down the I-10, and from Gilbert, Mesa or Tempe it is a local drive rather than a journey.

Can I just turn up at the building?+

Please call before you come. A phone assessment and a benefits check have to happen first, and a provider needs to confirm that the level of care is right and safe for you. That call is what lets us hold a bed, complete the medical review and have someone expecting you, rather than leaving you waiting at a door. It takes ten to twenty minutes and the line is answered at any hour.

What is on site at Chandler?+

The full continuum: medical detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment, all in the same building, so you move between levels without a second admission or a change of team. In the residential phase you get a private room with a private bathroom, catered meals, group therapy twice a day and one-to-one sessions with your own therapist. Nursing and support staff are on site around the clock.

Is there parking, and can family visit here?+

There is parking on site and a covered entrance for drop-off. Family visiting happens on a schedule so it does not cut across the therapeutic day, and your case manager will walk your family through how it works once you are admitted. Being close enough for family to visit without booking a flight is one of the arguments for treating in the East Valley rather than travelling out of state.

How do I get there if I cannot drive?+

Say so when you call. We can arrange transport within our local service area, and it is one of the last practical barriers we can take off the table for someone who has already decided to come in. If you are flying in, Sky Harbor is the nearest airport. If you are coming from further out in Arizona, tell the admissions team where from and they will work the journey out with you.

Start with one call. We'll take it from there.

We answer at any hour of the day or night. There is nothing you have to decide on that first call, and nothing you need to have worked out before you make it.
