Marina Pitsilos, PMHNP-BC, has over 10 years of experience as a medical professional with a focus in the area of mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Marina holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Purdue University as well as a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Rasmussen College and a Master’s of Science Degree from Walden University with a specialization in the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program. Marina has excelled as a medical professional throughout her career in health care. Marina’s work experience ranges from working in medical beside nursing as a neurosurgical ICU RN at the University of Chicago Hospital, caring for patients with substance use disorders and co- occurring mental health conditions including specialized trauma training at all levels of care, and nursing leadership. She has also worked in various levels of care within the area of substance abuse treatment including residential care, PHP and IOP, inpatient and in intake departments of various facilities.
Marina’s experience in floor nursing and leadership roles gives her the ability to relate to both her patients and staff members on her team in a unique way. Marina’s vision is to continue expanding the opportunities for patients seeking substance abuse and mental health treatment to receive the care they need for long- term recovery.
Marina is the Vice President of Medical Services for Buena Vista and also works as one of Buena Vista’s providers at our Chandler campus
